If you didn't watch the WSU-UNC game last night at Macullen's, you missed something special. The lounge was packed, no foam fingers were in sight, yet excitement was in the air. We cheered. overall No.1 seed in this NCAA Tournament have been apparent every time
it has stepped on the court. The Tar Heels have consistently been more
talented, more aggressive and faster than whomever they've faced.
On Thursday night, UNC showed one more reason it deserves that lofty status: resourcefulness.
Washington
State denied Carolina almost everything it wanted to do. The Tar Heels
didn't get to run their torrid, high-scoring offense. They couldn't
pound the ball inside to All-American Tyler Hansbrough. And they
weren't able to get Ty Lawson the ball in the open court, where he is
so dangerous.
And still Carolina crushed the Cougars, 68-47, in an East Regional semifinal Thursday night at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. [more]
